Do you take insurance?

No, I do not accept insurance.  I am considered out of network OON and you can speak with your insurance company about OON benefits. I will provide superbill so that you can submit your insurance company if you like.

I accept cash, checks, and credit cards.

My current rate is $200 per hour.

What is the rate and schedule for EMDR Intensives?

 

 Intensives are designed to be customizable to your schedule and needs. Below is a list of possible schedules and fees.  The Intensives are scheduled and billed completely private pay.

Schedule 1 Weekly session 

This is the most similar to weekly therapy sessions would occur same day weekly.

Includes:

60 minute intial interview

10 sessions x 90 minutes in length over 10 weeks 

Half day sessions for 5 weeks ( half day is 3 hour session) 

60 minute follow up session 

Personal treatment workbook

Total cost: $4,200

Schedule 2 Full Week Schedule

What is the cancellation policy?

As my client, you will have your day and time slot in my practice. Therapy is an investment of time and money, and I seek to minimize missed appointments to offer you the best therapeutic experience.

You may reschedule an appointment for a different time in the same week.  If you cannot reschedule, you will be charged for the session.  

 

Are you taking new clients?
Yes, I am currently taking new clients.
Where are you located?

My office is now located in Manakin Sabot Virginia:

348 River Road West Manakin Sabot Virginia 23103  

I provide equine assisted therapy in Powhatan and will work from home on occasion.  

What are your hours?

My office hours are 11:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Do you see clients on the weekend?

I may see clients on the weekend, but only on a very limited basis. 

How long are sessions?

Sessions are 50 minutes.

There is a 10-minute grace period at the beginning of each session before it’s considered missed and a fee assessed. 

I also provide intensive sessions that are 3 hours in length and will depending on the specific concerns we will do 2 to 10 of these sessions.  We will discuss  what will be best fit for you.

With what age range do you work?

I work with adults.

What modalities do you use?

I use a wide range of modalities to benefit you. I am trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Animal-Assisted Activities (AAA), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). I also use Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems ( IFS).  

How can I tell if we’ll be a good fit to work together?

We’ll determine that together during your free 15-minute consultation.

What is the first session like?
You’ll complete an intake form at your first session, just to give me some basic information. We’ll then spend the rest of the time getting to know each other and talking about things that are important to you and your therapy experience.
What are the groups like?
Group sessions are set up according to the group members and group topics. Group work is designed to help a person learn more during the session from other group members.
How many people are in a group session?
The groups are small, each with five to eight members.
Can you have too many dogs?
No, never!! But you have to be able to take care of all the dogs you have!
Is it possible to have too many horses?
Of course not. BUT… like dogs, you must be able to take care of all the horses you have.
What is your favorite color?
I struggle to choose between pink and burgundy. I like shades of both.
What’s your favorite candy?
Gummy bears.
Where would you like to visit?
I’d love to do a horseback ride on a beach in Europe. A trip to the Galápagos Islands and a cattle drive (somewhere) are also on my bucket list!
